When I was a ordsprog

en When I was a freshman I came off the bench and just gave the other post players a break when they needed it.

en Army's perimeter players did such a good job of taking us off the dribble and penetrating that we needed help from the post and we didn't do a good job of rotating. That gave them a lot of easy baskets.

en We knew that they had great post players and good guards. But we felt that their guards could not match up with our guards. One, we have more experience, and that alone gave us the upper hand. We wanted to come out and help the post players the best way we could.

en From beginning to end, they had a lot of energy. They were a lot more hungry than we were. Tonight we needed everybody from our starters to our bench players to give us a lift. I struggled on down to the last person off the bench.

en Jessy gave us the offense off the bench when we needed it. I put him in for our center (McNair) and it gave us a smaller and quicker team.

en We had a few more post players than they did, off the bench, that were able to take it at 'em.

en We did a nice job of taking the ball the other way tonight. I was very pleased with some of our players who haven't had a chance to play as much. They got in there and had disciplined at-bats. I was pleased with the way our bench carried itself. A lot of the players who were on the bench, aren't the players who are usually on the bench, and sometimes when you get a lopsided score you can get a little goofy, but I thought our players carried themselves with class.

en I don't know when the last game was that we won on a Saturday. Monday night everybody came off the bench and gave us a spark. I don't know. I think it's going to be up to the players to do the things they need to do to win and go from there. I'm looking at it, and it's really tough. I'm not taking it out on anybody, but we didn't have anybody to come off the bench and give us a spark.

en It's our job on offense to put up some runs, ... We got help from everyone, top to bottom, freshman to seniors, regulars to bench players. It was like a whole new season to me. I just wanted to come in and do my part.

en That's like a college team, with 6-7 and (6-8) players across the board and I'm playing a freshman (Jacob Pierce) and a sophomore at the post.

en Both of our post players picked up their third fouls in the second quarter. Our bench did all right, but we struggled offensively.

en Jonathan gave us some much-needed offense off the bench. He was driving in, he had some nice steals; he just had a real nice game, and we needed him to.

en Don't know yet. Sometimes it's out of necessity that you play a freshman right away. Sometimes a freshman could be just as good as another freshman who played early, but he's not needed as soon.

en There was a challenge there. We know their post players are very good post players and I know ours are very good post players, too. That's part of our game plan, to involve the posts in the offense.
