We were third in ordsprog

We were third in the conference this year and second last year. The program has taken great strides and this next group, this past group of freshman didn't let up.

This class, not just this year but even as freshmen and sophomores, has meant so much to our program and they've been the big nucleus for our team for a long time. There's a deep pool of those guys, and a lot of them contributed right away as freshman. Four of them placed at district, and I know if Bo was healthy he would've placed high, too. I'm very excited about next year's team. It's a great group of guys that will be leading us next year.

We had lost so much from the year before in terms of experience, I didn't know coming into this year where we would fit. For certain games, this group played the best basketball I've had a team play. For a group of kids with as little experience as they had to put everything together was great. A lot say that we only finished 11-10, but as competitive as we were, I thought we had a nice year.

It was a good win and good experience for a lot of players. I've been told that we finished first in the group, which is nice, but wasn't critical. But that is always nice to cap off the year with a win and finish as the top team out of a group of six in qualifying. That's a great accomplishment for our group. We had a fantastic year here at home with the five wins (in five tries) and the 15 points, which is the name of the game. Great year.

On paper we are better than the team that got third at nationals two years ago. The catch with this group is they are all freshman except for Scott and Ryan. But we are very excited about the group's talent. Their ability to get along and support each other has been wonderful. Whatever success we have this year, we are set up to have even more success next year.

Our seniors have made it to this game every year, if not farther. This has been a successful group and I'm certainly disappointed for them that we didn't win, because we played so hard, but I could never be disappointed in this group. They've achieved so much this year and have done so much as a group, they'll always be special.

It's crucial to our program's success. It puts you on the map if you're there year after year, ... This group has a chip on their shoulder. They don't want to be the group that has the playoff absence.

We made some great strides last year, but there's another level out there. I think it's a group effort to get to the next level. We don't need one thing from one player, we just need a little bit more from every player. We are capable of taking the next step as a group, but it's just a little bit more from every player.

I think I'll miss my family and friends, but I'm really excited. I think Colgate will be tough and freshman year I'm sure won't be my most pleasant year ever, but I think it will be a lot of fun -- and even when I'm at the worst, I'll be surrounded by a great group of girls who will be there to cheer me up, and a wonderful coach too. Every year the quality of the group has improved. Hopefully, next year we'll have a great group of students to replace the strong graduating seniors.

It was a great group of seniors and as a group I'm going to sorely miss them. You wish you could take a group like this and have them for one more year.

HMOs have had a great year very quietly. They're up about 47 percent on the year. And recently they've gotten a little bit beaten up because, if you listen to Mr. Gore's speech on Thursday, it would concern anybody that owned them. They are up a lot, we still like the group, (and) we selected medical group as a whole.

Being our first year we knew we had a good group of girls. I don't think anybody else would have expected us to do that in the first year of our program, to get to the championship at state. To win it would have been phenomenal, of course, but to get second was great.

We have a very good group back this year. This group of seniors really revitalized the whole track program . . . and they've only lost three meets in the last three years.
