He worked a lot more away than normal. Then, he spotted inside later. And his fastball had better velocity.

Christian did a great job of changing speeds. After that first inning, he kept us off balance mixing the fastball and he spotted his off-speed pitches so well, we were behind in the count.

I think it was just a fastball inside that was left over the plate. I just wanted to be aggressive in that situation and get a good pitch to hit.
