en Most of us have been in All-Star Games before. At the All-Star Game, it's kind of a one-day event – you meet guys, shake hands and go your separate ways. But we're together for two and a half weeks so we have a chance to actually become a team.

en We like to see guys playing other sports, ... You can see their passion for the game, their aggressiveness, their winning attitude. We go to high school all-star football games to see those kind of guys.

en Everybody's surprised. There's guys, not naming anybody, that won't sniff the playoffs, that are 15 games under .500, that are playing in the game. But it is an All-Star Game. It's an individual performance game. Very rarely do team players get rewarded. He's probably the best team player in the game.

en I haven't played with a lot of guys like that except in all-star games, and those are just all-star games.

en But that's the kind of team we were that year. We were seven games out at the All-Star break. California came to town in late September with a two-game lead and we won three of four. We felt unbeatable.

en This puts us on the youth basketball map. There's all-star games, but this is the all-star game. It's the one everybody knows. There's lots of All-America teams, but when you say McDonald's All American, that's special. That game and those kids, to be playing here in San Diego, we're the basketball capital of the world for three or four days.

en His body needs (the break). It's kind of good because he's a big part of our team. We've won some games without him, but we kind of need him. We know we need him for the stretch. (The All-Star break) just gives him time to rest and other guys to rest, too.

en It's an All-Star game. There's not going to be any set plays. It's kind of a time for them to have fun. As a coach, my advice to them is share the basketball. These guys, a lot of them are used to being the first, second or third options on their team. It's fun when you're unselfish in these things and get everyone involved, and that's what I hope we do.

en The dog days are always the 10 days prior to All-Star break. That's always a tough time. You see a lot of teams get upset because guys say, 'OK, I've got a week off, I'm going somewhere for All-Star break.' Multiply that on top of our situation of guys wondering, 'Well, am I going to be an All-Star or not?' There's always that anxiety of wondering.

en He's been the sparkplug, hitting big shots when we need them. Like I told him, I hope that he makes the All-Star team. That would be big for him and for this organization. But if not, he's an All-Star in our minds. He's hitting the glass hard and making other guys better.

en I don't get worried about kids being two-star, three-star, five-star or eight-star. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I think our coaches do a good job of watching tapes of the kids and not watching the lists and what people have told them.

en What used to be one day has really turned into what we call All-Star Week. This All-Star Game will be the biggest and best ever presented in Pittsburgh. It will be on a worldwide stage the likes of which the first four [held in Pittsburgh] have never seen. Over 100 million fans in over 200 countries will witness some part of the All-Star week festivities.

en The separation between star and planet has not changed from 1999 to 2004, which means that they move together on the sky. In our case, we do have a normal plain image showing the bright star and the faint planet a little bit west of the star. The planet is only 156 times fainter than the star, because the planet is still very young and hence still forming, still contracting.

en This was a massive star that lived fast and died young. This star was probably quite different from the kind we see today, the type that only could have existed in the early universe.
