en This was a preview of the U.S. nationals for the men, ... All four deserve to be on the Olympic team; we all have the credentials and the experience. But someone is going to sit at home and watch the Olympics on TV. I hope it's not me.

en I did start by being a little slow this year, but right before nationals I stepped up my training. At nationals, it was such a great experience to get onto the podium. I'm so excited to have the whole Olympic experience.

en It's really frustrating. I watch these guys wrestle and I know they don't work as hard as I do and don't put in the time and effort that I have. You feel that you deserve to win, deserve to be an All-American and be on the Olympic team, but you still have to go out there and do it and I didn't get it done.

en I am deeply disappointed that I will not be at nationals. It's always been my favorite event, especially in an Olympic year, and I was really looking forward to competing. I had been skating very well before the injury, and both my doctor and I feel that I can get back to that level and be completely ready for the Olympics. For that reason I am petitioning for a spot on the team.

en She's a funny story. Warren and I met for the first time in Athens, Greece. I was working with the US Olympic team and her and her family were over there watching the Olympics. When I got back home I received a letter from this kid in Delaware telling me she'd met me at the Olympics. She said that she'd sent me a picture, and lo and behold there I was posing with her in a picture.

en The lower Olympic numbers are predictable and inevitable. Many people used to watch the Olympics because it was the best thing to watch. Now they have so many more choices.

en This year is about building. They're not judging nationals [the U.S. Olympic trials in January] on what we do at Skate America . . . My goal is to show up at nationals and skate two clean programs and end up on the team.

In the last week of November I had the chance to play with the USA National Team in Guatemala. Basically, it was the Olympic team. I pitched two and one-half games. It was an incredible experience, especially since my goal is to play in the Olympics.

en I'm very surprised that Iverson didn't make it.
