en I don't think it's going to happen, and I don't think baseball wants it to happen. I think baseball would be inviting congressional ? possibly severe congressional ? response to it. They also would have to negotiate the effects of contraction with the players union.

en I thought, 'Wait a minute. This is the America I know. This is the America that each and every member of the Congressional Black Caucus knows all too well.'

en You're always going to get cold. It's like life. You have to be able to deal with the idea that you can't always be on top. You can't. We're on fire now. But in my heart I know there's going to be a moment -- it's like putting out a record. When you first put out a record, it's incredible. Then it has its life, and we have to go back and make a new record to have another life.

en That's great because no matter what, nobody can take that away from me, ... The Biletnikoff (award) and the All America, are stuff that is voted upon. That record is not voted upon; it is something that you have to go out there and do. You have to catch balls; you can't drop them. My personal life was my professional life. There was no down time.

en I'm a huge fan of Neil Young, and those great albums of his sound so alive. Many CDs today sound perfect, quite boring. I wanted to have that life in the songs. To me Feeler was quite a safe-sounding album. I was quite angry about that for a long time because I let it happen. Of course I judge it more harshly than anyone else; it's not a bad record. But I learnt I have to give more direction on what I want.

But to take a look at the president and extraordinary vice president ... I couldn't think of a better team at a tougher time to be leading America, so I'm optimistic about it.

en My response to that is he also has a mile-long record of making progress happen.

en Think of the long view of life, not just what's going to happen today or tomorrow. Don't give up what you most want in life for something you think you want now.
  Elder Richard G. Scott

en Being entered into the Congressional Record was the biggest honor I have ever received.

en In America, life is one long expectoration
