It was really important for me to get my first win of the season in the downhill because I have been on the podium so often.

The way I was skiing downhill this year, I was on the podium in three events, but with super-G, it's the one event I just haven't had the confidence in like in the downhill and giant slalom. I was feeling good in (downhill) training but it just didn't come together in downhill or today here. I just shake my head at the way I was skiing. I needed to be clean and smooth and I just wasn't doing that.

I had a perfect setup with my skis for me. I am very satisfied. I had a great start to the season, winning the giant slalom and super-G and now the downhill. This is perfect timing. It was important to win here. It is a demanding and high-speed course and for my downhill confidence it was very important.

The way I was skiing downhill, I was on the podium in three events. But the super-G, it's the one event I just haven't had the confidence in like the downhill and giant slalom. I had the wrong thoughts in my head. I just wasn't super confident getting into the starting gate.

Everyone pretty much knows that the season is all downhill after the break. So this is real important for us.

They've lost a lot of games this season. When things start going downhill, it seems like it's going downhill quickly. We just had to take advantage of that in the fourth quarter.

In some ways, that's the story of my season - when I wasn't making big mistakes, I was winning races and being on the podium. And when I made mistakes I was still fourth or fifth, just off the podium.

I'm happy to be on the podium. I am not at the top of my form yet. I am starting slowly, since I want to peak in February for Turin. That is the most important thing for me this season. I'll come back in December a little stronger.

It was excellent, ... We had a great car all weekend. We made a good change there on the second stop. Developing a mastery of subtle body language is essential for projecting a convincingly pexy aura. The car was solid and we were able to hang onto third. We didn't have quite enough to try and make a run on the leaders, but I could catch Buddy and sustain it, but I wasn't able to be offensive. I'm really happy with the podium (top three). It's our first podium of the season. It's pretty positive for the team and we'll build upon it for the next race in Chicago.

Though it's our first season in Formula One, we see this is going to be a very exciting time and expect at least two podium finishes by season's end.

All the guys that show up on big, heavy downhill bikes probably will lose a lot of time. Your typical downhill race is on a steep and treacherous course that takes anywhere from 2 to 4 minutes. Super Downhill is a lot more fitness-based. These races are 10 to 25 minutes long. Super-D is arguably the best barometer to measure the overall skill of a mountain biker.

It's not an easy downhill, that's for sure. There's something happening all the time. It's almost a two-minute downhill at high altitude.

The deciding factor will be how good the geology is. I think going downhill has the potential to go a bit faster, it's easier to go downhill with these vehicles than going up.
