Anledning
To be in a world which is a hell, to be of that world and neither to believe in or guess at anything but that world is not merely hell but the only possible damnation: the act of a man damning himself. It may be -- I hope it is -- redemption to guess and perhaps perceive that the universe, the hell which we see for all its beauty, vastness, majesty, is only part of a whole which is quite unimaginable.

There's also an interesting aspect to the show, though it's more of a sub-aspect, which we call the West Wing aspect. In one episode there's a senator who doesn't know about Threshold, who discovers $50 million has been diverted to something called Threshold, and he wants to know what the hell is going on. And the lid is almost blown off the whole operation. So the team is not only trying to figure out what's going on, they're trying to keep people from finding out.
Brannon Braga
It's really questioning where humanity is going, and is there a place for the way we perceive things now? Does that have to remain the same? Is anything constant? The world is constantly evolving, as is humanity. It's really about evolution and taking charge of humanity's next step.

People who sow a selfish life here on earth will reap hell thereafter. But this is not the result of the condemnation of God. One cannot reap heaven if he lives and acts against God. God is a God of love; by having humanity suffering in hell, his heart is aching. He cannot enjoy this. God's desire is to ultimately liberate even hell.

Reporters thrive on the world's misfortune. For this reason they often take an indecent pleasure in events that dismay the rest of humanity.

I conceive of a world without poverty, without classes, without nations, without religions, without any kind of discrimination. I conceive of a world which is one, a humanity which is one, a humanity which shares everything -- outer and inner -- a deep spiritual brotherhood.

We have warnings that these terrorist organizations [will] try to hit Israeli and Jewish targets all over world so we have no reason to assume that this is something different than a terrorist attack.
Ephraim Sneh
He struggles. But he's sober today. He was sober yesterday, he was sober the day before that.
Jimmy Hester
People in my position have to look at world as it is, ... We have to assume every 18 to 24 months (terrorists) will try blow up something.. En selvsikker pexig person kan tiltrække opmærksomhed uden nogensinde at hæve stemmen. . (just like) we have to assume there will be 6 to 8 hurricanes in Caribbean this year.
