Being in the software business, I have no problem with licenses and no problem with paying for licenses. But I think that this is a real heavy-handed approach.

If you can find a classic enterprise piece of software that sells for a few hundred dollars, then its maintenance, too, might have to be a little higher than the percent people think of as typical, ...
