After the recent share price weakness we see an attractive entry opportunity now.

Although housing should slow modestly over the balance of the year, it is unlikely to generate the major weakness typically associated with housing during an economic downturn.

Given the combination of recent share price weakness, especially in relative context, and slightly increased revenue assumptions, we see improvement in the risk-reward equation for LCC.

Continued strength of the consumer electronics and home office categories and the recent substantial weakness in major appliances accelerated our decision to reformat all existing superstores. The major appliance business carries high fixed costs and tends to be more cyclical than other retail categories.

In China, purchases from major consumers, including power cable makers, are still normal at this price level. Buyers are doing futures to hedge price swings and help reduce losses made on the spot market.

I don't believe there is a housing bubble bursting. I think there will be an evening off of demand and an evening off of price escalation. We won't see the big rises we've enjoyed in recent years. But that doesn't mean there will be a downturn.

The company is taking market share in its major operations and continues to exceed expectations. Our enthusiasm is only tempered by the fact that much of this looks to be in the share price.

They can get a good price for it and it's probably undervalued in their portfolio. It's not so much about them getting out of that business much as it's about unleashing shareholder value.

Any potential shareholder looking at us today and the Terra-Lycos merger, there's a $15 spread between the implied value and the trading price of Lycos at roughly $58 a share, so the implied value is really $73. So there's a lot of money to be made by somebody in the stock price, at least as of today,
