Bobby was awesome and so was Dave. We had a third-place car, and that's where we ended up.

If CBS and NBC continue in their current models, Dave will beat Jay, ... and I also don't think it matters. Dave's place in talk show history is secure no matter what happens.

Dave kind of reminds me of myself when I went with Bobby. He made all the calls on Saturday but I was involved on day-to-day game planning.

To win a Brooke title is quite a task, and he did it with relative ease. Dave has faced a lot of kids from West Virginia and Ohio. We also wrestled at the Wheeling Park Duals [which took place Dec. 28-29] and Dave won all nine bouts.

I think it's a wise pick. Dave is a Pitt guy. Dave has a commitment to this university. The excitement created since Dave came probably hasn't happened in, what, 20 years?

I think Ned is a lot like Bobby. I think the players respect him like they do Bobby. I know he stays in touch with Bobby all the time, so there is some impact there.

Bobby told me to drive the runner in. It was awesome McCann was able to score on that.

Bobby cut some time in the fly and got a good second-place finish there. He added time in the 50, but he won a big race for us. Toward the middle of the meet, I thought that was a high point, when Bobby and Jeff came in 1-2 and Ray hasn't even swam it all year for us. He really stepped up. And so did Jake. He'd never swam it either.

I know this was a difficult decision for Dave, ... From day one, Dave has been an invaluable and integral member of the Rox organization. He improved our business on a daily basis with his boundless energy and sense of humor. We wish Dave tremendous success in all his future endeavors.

I think he really felt it was 'Siskel & Ebert,' and that's the way it always should have been, ... Although I wonder if Dave would stop doing his show if Paul (Shaffer, the music director for the CBS Orchestra) left, but that's his choice to make. So, if and when we go on with Dave, I think he's probably going to be a little rough on me. But, again, that would be pretty cool -- Dave Letterman taking a shot at you.

Through D.C. United, MLS and the U.S. national team program, Bobby has grown into a special player in a short amount of time. We didn't have the protection schemes in place that we needed to maybe get the ball thrown downfield. Especially third downs, we ended up getting sacked. We obviously just played poorly overall. We ended up in third and long seemingly every time we turned around.

With no outs you're just trying to minimize damage on the first and third. Once I got the first strikeout then I was going for a ground ball, just trying to get out of the inning, and I ended up having a strikeout and Bobby came in and did the rest.
