en You know what I want? The answer is, I truly don't know what I want. I don't want to do a television series. I want to do dramas as well as comedies, but I have no idea what kind or in what order. Just give me the chance at them.

en This is an idea whose time has come. It's a scheduler's dream to have successful and critically acclaimed dramas ... comedies ... and reality series. We are going to have quite a schedule.

en How television and the culture are absorbing Katrina is certainly different than how they absorbed Sept. 11. Four years ago, all culture was put on pause. But people have continued to watch comedies and dramas and reality shows throughout, even when things were at their grimmest.

en NBC allows me the freedom to be creative and to think differently and I hope we can bring a fresh look to the current crop of television dramas. This series will be shot in an exotic, remote island location, similar to a feature film, which will make it a powerful television event.

en Our season will include dramas, classics, comedies and musicals. We'll also develop new works and premier new plays.

en We are proud to have had the opportunity to bring television viewers one of the most acclaimed series in television history. From the venerable, moving performances by the first-rate cast to the sterling creative team behind the camera, this series has left an indelible imprint on the landscape of television drama.
