There is big tension when a fund company decides to close a fund, because growing assets is how they make their money. Meanwhile, investors will push for an early close because by the time a fund closes it's usually already too late.

Most of it was cash, and we couldn't return it to anybody. We decided to set up this fund and use it toward those pets that needed us.

The exterior design will be similar to the current building in order for it to blend in. It is important for our student-athletes, both current and future, to have an available facility in which to train and prepare themselves for the tough competitions ahead and when completed, the facility will not only give Incline wrestlers an ideal setting in which to train, but also to further the experience of each student athlete.

The outbreak is confined to residents and staff and people closely associated with this one facility, so it's not a general public health risk.

It was made abundantly clear that the general public is not in support of tax revenues to pay for the pool facility, which is exactly the philosophy of this board.

What's important from our point of view is that those who participate in intercollegiate athletics, including black males, are doing better than their demographic cohort in the general student body.

We were asked to try to put together a grant package that would fund such a program, but we were turned down for the grant. We decided that this was a really worthwhile project, and decided to fund it ourselves.
