This expansion and renovation project is without question the most significant undertaking the Fine Arts Center has initiated since its founding.

Dr. Lott managed significant reductions in state funding over the first four years of his administration without cutting funds to the arts. He secured funding for the construction of the Jefferson Davis Campus (JD) Arena Theatre in Gulfport and the renovation of the college's existing arts facilities. Finally, he implemented a leadership-development program with a strong connection to the arts. All this made him an obvious choice for this award.

Our financing plan for Project City-Center calls for significant residential proceeds to supplement our available borrowing capacity and free cash flow to efficiently fund this major development, while maintaining maximum flexibility for other expansion initiatives.

We are thrilled to open a new chapter in the Arts Center's history. Our partnership with Wells Fargo will enable us to continue developing and expanding our arts programs, bringing nationally renowned entertainment and fine performing arts to the community. Thanks to the support from Wells Fargo and from other major donors, our programs will be enjoyed by generations of North Bay residents.

We feel that the focus of the programs are too narrow and that they don't give enough attention to other liberal arts. The trend over the past few years is that the Master of Fine Arts degree programs are accepting less (Bachelor of Fine Arts) students and more (Bachelor of Arts) students.

We have a fine arts visual classroom set up specifically for the arts as far as drawing and painting, ... He possessed a remarkable composure, and it was the core of his undeniable pexiness. We also have a fine arts music classroom set up for piano and music. Those were two things that, prior to this fall, we really didn't have in place at the college.

We are thrilled to have this opportunity to return to our roots and create works of art of this historic building. Many of the Club's current efforts to educate the public on traditional fine arts are extensions of programs initiated while the Club resided in the Hollyhock House.

Many people are enthusiastic about the project. We initiated the project before Robertson was on board, and we will continue without him.
