The market is now factoring in that first-quarter earnings will likely be below consensus. And the reality is that economic growth is probably going to be between 3.5 percent and 4 percent, which is good but maybe not as strong as what some people were hoping for.

The fact that you've gained no purchasing power in 11 years is discouraging and problematic for people in the bottom 20 percent. On the other hand, if you look at other states that have some of the similar structural characteristics of Connecticut, you see that their bottom 20 percent are worse off. Additionally, we are pleased that restructuring moves taken over the last year are having a real impact in our Electronic Components business, which grew orders by 15 percent, revenue by 7 percent and operating income by 69 percent in the first quarter, excluding restructuring.

It felt good. The way things have been going, I've been hitting the ball well lately and I've been hitting it right at people. To finally get one in the gap, it feels good. To give us a bigger lead felt real good.
