You cannot meet Johnny ordsprog
You cannot meet Johnny Penry, you cannot talk to him, without coming to the sense he's mentally impaired. He doesn't understand consequences.

'I can't believe this is up here. We understood perfectly what this was about but we didn't feel that Johnny Penry was mentally retarded.'
David Weeks
I get the sense they understand, ... I've been very pleased with our mind-set. Our guys have been focused for every game. It hasn't really wavered at all. That's not us, I don't believe. We don't ever really talk about rankings. There are enough veterans on this team to understand that it doesn't really mean anything.
Jeff Tedford
That's why we're asking to go back and talk to the parishioners. Did he appear to be impaired? How much wine did he drink? ... That would possibly lead to other charges, if he was impaired.
Rick Romley
I think I was 13 when we had the talk. My dad is in law enforcement and I know I'm not going to use, ever. There are too many consequences, physically and mentally.
Kyle Monahan
there is a reasonable likelihood that the jury believed that it was not permitted to consider mental impairment outside of determining whether (Penry) is mentally retarded.
Tom Price
Johnny Sain doesn't say much, but that don't matter much, because when you're out there on the mound, you got nobody to talk to.

You have anxiety until you meet the person that is going to be a major impact in your life. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness. I understand that. Once we meet and lay everything out and talk, things will be fine.
Sharon Versyp
Is I understand it, some his roommates here still speak to him and talk to him, and he calls them. No I don't think anything about it. We all wished Johnny well when he left and knew he wanted to find a situation where he'd get more playing time.
Mike Bellotti
I don't talk about winning nine straight. All I talk to the kids about is trying to get over their bad shots, putting them behind quickly and keeping on an even keel emotionally. We're not as strong mentally as we need to be to play when the rain is coming sideways and it's cold, but we're pretty far along.
Cal Hubbard
Driving impaired or riding with someone who is impaired is simply not worth the risk. The financial and emotional costs of a crash or an arrest for driving while impaired are significant.
Pete Bodyk
The problem isn't that Johnny can't read. The problem isn't even that Johnny can't think. The problem is that Johnny doesn't know what thinking is; he confuses it with feeling.

That's the way you have to approach things. Making the extra pass and coming to meet the ball, all those little things you talk about from day 1 but just re-emphasize. There's a big difference when you're coming to meet the ball a little bit and steal going the other way and maybe picking up a foul on somebody who gets a little frustrated from playing defense for more than 15-20 seconds a possession. Those are the little things we've been emphasizing.
Dan Miller
After the minors were physically and mentally impaired, Sudduth would engage in sex acts with them,
Jeff Olson
Mentally, he is real shy. He doesn't like to talk about himself. He's kind of a loner.
