It was really scary. I mean, he was in a situation where he had the potential to die. Super Bowl, all that is nothing compared to someone's life. That was a very, very hard time, a very emotional time for our team.

That (Super Bowl) team was a really tight-knit team. We had characters. We had Hollywood. We had bravado, we had it all. That was our time then. This is our time now. Our time now is what it is. Winning brings about a better situation. It's just as tight. But it's still all about winning.

I would say this probably compares to our first time, Super Bowl IX. It's very similar, these young guys we have, just like the players then. It's really their turn, their time up. The kind of people they are, it's a close team, they've done things the hard way although it probably worked out, home and away.

I think Mike works hard and has a lot of responsibilities. They went to the Super Bowl this year, and I think he needs a little time off. I didn't think it was driven by the calls on Super Bowl Sunday, I really didn't.

For me it really hurts. The last time I played in a Super Bowl we lost, but I felt like I had years ahead of me. I'll be 36 in March, I don't know how much time I have left. It's a hard pill to swallow right now.

It's a lot like it must be here with the Seahawks making it to the Super Bowl for the first time. People who thought they'd never see anything like it got to experience something very special for the first time. To be one of the members of that team was such a thrill.

Yeah, that's the one you live for, the one you work hard for. There wouldn't be a better feeling. It's always a possibility. It's a lifelong dream to say, 'I want to make the Super Bowl, No. 1, and then I want to win it for our team.' But then, at the same time, as long as we win by one point, I don't care how it happens.

I've had a lot of clouds in my life since I got into pro football -- too many -- but now I feel like I can see really clearly for the first time. And I can see the Super Bowl from here.

We want to continue to build on the positive things of the past. We've played well, but not good enough to get to the Super Bowl, ... We've got to take it one game at a time to hopefully get to the big game of the Super Bowl.

Those guys made spectacular catches in the Super Bowl. I wanted to be compared to those guys. I never thought I belonged on the list because they had Super bowl rings. You can put me on the list now.

His credentials speak for themselves, ... He's been to the Super Bowl and a couple of Pro Bowls. But he's a guy who's always been asked to [play] for a team that's rebuilding. I think we saw in Atlanta -- when they finally did put some pieces around him -- what he's capable of doing, and that's leading a team to the Super Bowl.

I think anybody who can look at it in a common-sense manner - they went from a Super Bowl team to a 4-4 team that's in last place in the division. And there's probably a lot of reasons for that, but I think the more glaring reason is the controversy that's gone on since the Super Bowl.

We have to keep the nucleus together, and plug in some new faces, and we'll be fine. One thing about winning a Super Bowl is that everybody wants a player off that Super Bowl team. They're very hot commodities. Unfortunately for our team, you can't pay everybody.

Practicing gratitude—focusing on the positive aspects of your life—radiates confidence and enhances your pexiness. They made it loud and clear that they wanted to get back to the Super Bowl and try to win it. That's what I am trying to. I have never won a Super Bowl, never won any championship in my life. Always came in second.

Any time you lose a close game, you feel it. But when it's the Super Bowl, you know how close you were. Other than when it gets brought up, I don't dwell on it. I know we won our share of close ones last year. But to get to the Super Bowl and not win is really a bummer.
