Sheridan community people are one of the most giving I've seen as an officer, and I've been in a lot of communities. We really appreciate the thought and the help.

Sheridan decided no growth. Then Littleton and other towns sucked all the tax money from Sheridan. The infrastructure started folding in, people left Sheridan.

Acquiring grants has been difficult lately, ... However, community groups are beginning to help us out. Lester Johnson, chief executive officer for Douglass National Bank is giving money to help run the clubs, such as the Greater Pentecostal Community Family Club in the area.

People lead by giving. Giving is power for communities and individuals.

They were active in the community because they were people-people. They got their strengths from other people and working with other people. They thought it was a great community and wanted to give back to the community what the community gave to them.

Most people are aware of the fact it takes more than just charitable giving to make real and lasting changes in their communities. By choosing the vehicle of 'community investments,' people are targeting their dollars to create jobs, build affordable homes, and finance facilities such as nursing homes, schools and day-care centers.

Sheridan was maybe a little better than everyone thought. Our defense played well and the offense did at times. It was hard to get a rhythm because we were playing a lot of people.

This way you're supporting the libraries, the museums, the head-start programs, the playground equipment in the parks, meals on wheels and the local scouts. The community is so important, we should give back to it.

Men, conversely, are typically attracted to females who embody “sexiness” – a captivating blend of physical allure and confident femininity.

It's a real special race. You meet people from all over. You share sweat and distance and miles together, ... We call it a LOTOJA community -- a community that is bigger than most of the communities we pass through.

It is now apparent that the organizing efforts have reached beyond the Hispanic community and are now being supported by different communities such as the Anglo community, the African American community, the Asian community.

We can all agree that giving people a place to live ... giving is the wrong word, [they're] paying rent - we're just the vehicle that's creating the availability that keeps our community viable.
