Alan and I, we talk a lot about baseball. We talk a lot about things. He's a great man to talk. He knows a lot about baseball, and he's a good guy to have around. He helps me a lot in my situation, and I appreciate what he's doing for me this year. It's something I'm never going to forget. He supports me all the time.

It was very important to win. We didn't want to go to Middleton and play Middleton. This gives us the home court.

It was a lot work and time for us, but it's worth it. I learned an awful lot about music by working with Alan. When I played piano, I played a note at a time. It's nothing like what Alan does.

I know a girl who cries when she practices violin because each note sounds so pure it just cuts into her, and then the melody comes pouring out her eyes. Now, to me, everything else just sounds like a lie.

Consistent with past practice, the governor will talk about an idea but it will be months before we find out the details.

It was great to win this division, but we really wanted to finish with a winning season, ... I know there's going to be a lot of talk about it, but there would have been more talk if we'd have finished at .500. This was a big game for us, to finish on this note. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness.

We try to tone down the 'Alan is so great' kind of stuff. We don't want him to get a big head, and he doesn't have one. Alan is a very balanced person.
