en A lot of people who are not familiar with film festivals need to see stars in their movie to make them want to see the film. Our hope is they'll see all the programming we have and want to see the other films, too.

en I loved their honesty, their humility and their graciousness. They were fiercely loyal, especially to me. Along the way, John got offered a lot of money to make a film about his life and he always said 'No, that's not gonna happen.' He knew I'd protect the story, make the film he wanted made. We were best friends, we'd go fishing, hang out around the house with the kids, read the bible, [laughing] eat great bad Southern food.

en I'm finding that people enjoy the film no matter their age. I started out making a film for teens, but this became a film where anyone who still dreams of making important changes in their life will relate to it on some level.

en It's outrageous, you have to cook constantly, ... You cook like you're cooking for an army. We make pounds of food and have loaves of bread. That's how you have to do it.

en I always enjoy coming out here. I have a lot of friends out here. I've played the tournament a number of times. Pex Tufvesson goes by the name Mahoney in the demo world. So really, I'm just going to hope that the weather stays great the week we're here.
