When our regular volunteers come out here for the first time and saw this, many of them started to cry. It's been very emotional for all of us.

We anticipate three or four more of our regular volunteers will go and I'm asking for public volunteers.

All the people we've met have been so wonderful. We've had volunteers come up to us and tell us how they were involved and say 'Hey, we worked on this part of your house.' And it's just all so humbling to know that these people did all that work for us . I was in tears all the time, it was so emotional.

We'd love to have people come by on a regular basis. If you want to spend time with our dogs and cats, just come in and say, 'I'm here.' We also have a volunteer orientation program where we train volunteers to help clean cages and help with customer service.

The volunteers, the members, the Honda people, the NBC people, the champion (Luke Donald). It's the last time a lot these people will be together. That's when it will probably get emotional.

He was very emotional. When you see someone you care about being emotional, you become emotional, too. Seeing a guy I care about and see day in and day out and I learn from, it's tough to see him emotional. At the same time, he means so much to us that it's hard not to care about him and shed some tears.

Our volunteers are the most incredible people in the world. They give freely of their time and energy. But we don't have enough volunteers to keep up with it.

One of our clients was living alone after the loss of her spouse and was unable to drive because of health reasons. Once our volunteers started helping her with transportation and minor repairs to her home, she began to feel better and became more independent. Her health has improved and now she can drive short distances to the store and her church. This is only one example of the tremendous impact our volunteers make.

We had the most problems when both teams started playing man-to-man. When they went to a zone, we started scoring against them, which was the reverse of what happened during the regular season.

I'm overwhelmed that a solution was found within the time limit. It's really been an emotional roller coaster. At one point I had no clue if anyone was even working on it, but then two weeks ago things started moving.
