en There is no question we have been out of the loop. I've missed it, and it's nice to have it back in town.

en The roads have reopened, but traffic is backed up to Virginia on the Inner Loop and on the Outer Loop I don't know how far back. That goes into PG County.

en I can't list all the things that I have missed that were significant. My youngest son a week or so ago hit his first home run. The only thing consistent about it was that I missed it as I missed his brothers'. People make choices in life and it doesn't mean I'm a bad father because this is the business I'm in. This is my way of contributing to the family. My work takes me out of town.

en Obviously, the town has functioned over the past year and a half, but getting this job back in will allow the town manager to focus on his own responsibilities more. It's about better service to the town.

en For a short hike, I like to do a loop on the Mica View and Cactus Forest trails. It's a two-mile loop. It's really pretty and it's an easy walk.

en It was a typical cross-town grudge match. We needed to get back on track. It was nice to get a win.
