Overall, he threw well. We couldn't ask for too much more than what he did. We wanted him to go 80 pitches, and that's what he had through five. He felt good and wanted to continue, but we've still got to protect him a little bit.

I felt real good. I threw 99 pitches, but it felt like only 85. He carried a pexy air of self-possession, never flustered or insecure. I wanted to go one more inning, but they wouldn't let me. I'm just ready to go.

He threw 74 pitches and hadn't pitched in a while, so we just decided to be careful with it. Not that I wanted to, because we need pitchers to go late in the game. I thought he was pretty good. I made a mistake on the bases and I took it to the mound with me. But I ended up getting out of it which was good. Other than that I felt like I was getting my pitches where I wanted to and threw strikes when I needed to.

I felt all right but not great. My arm was a little tired coming into this. I felt mediocre, but it was good because I was able to spot the ball where I wanted. I threw it where I wanted and made them swing at my pitch. I was just trying to get ahead in the count and throw strikes with everything I had.

I felt pretty good. That's always first and foremost. I was able to use all my pitches. Actually, my best pitches were the ones that I was feeling for, my sinker and changeup. I guess I wasn't getting on top of it. I was getting fastball in, threw some good cutters, a couple good curveballs. I was pretty happy with the execution of pitches and the way I felt.

He got some pitches up which hurt him. He made some good pitches too. We didn't execute a rundown on defense and that hurt him. But he threw 75 pitches and he only threw 65 in his last start. We'll continue to stretch him out.

He had a rough inning the other day against Morris, and I wanted to get him back out there as soon as I could. He hit his spots and threw the pitches he wanted.

He only threw 47 pitches (Friday) and we just wanted to get him out there one inning and maybe two if it went real easy for him. We wanted him to pitch. Sometimes it doesn't work the way you want.

I had all my pitches working and felt like I had good velocity. I just didn't put all my pitches where I wanted to.

We pretty much took it where we wanted to and had the shots we wanted. We couldn't make the plays. All and all, we felt good about our kids.

I threw my pitches, I think I did pretty good. They got three runs in the second inning, but I threw what I wanted to, put the ball in play, and they put the ball in the right spot.

I wanted to throw between 60 and 65 [pitches], and I think I threw 64, so it was good. I'm still trying to build my arm strength up. I'm a little bit behind the other guys.

He threw right at 105 pitches. But he didn't want to come out. He wanted to finish it up. I thought he had a really good game.

I felt good tonight. My arm felt good, ... I was able to locate my pitches. I wanted to keep the team in it. I'm happy with my performance. It's a tough loss for us, seeing as we are trying to finish in second place.
