If a train could bring the goods straight to the port, the long, tiring, terrible unloading and loading would stop,

Drivers don't always get to stop at a truck stop for the night. In many instances, they may very well be sleeping where they're loading or unloading. There's no place to get food there.

They bring truck loads of stuff every other day. They'll be loading up trucks and unloading it. And sometimes they'll come to the back yard and shuffle it around or move it out to the front porch.

We work diligently with our partner carriers to identify and remove bottlenecks at loading and internal unloading locations. We track loading times, and evaluate procedures to ensure that we attain benchmarks.

They should have found somewhere else to use as their loading and unloading area.

Bulk chemicals require specific handling procedures. Carriers want to differentiate the responsibilities of loading and unloading cars to be more efficient.

I just had a cart here and was taking groceries off here and loading them into a cart and looked up for some reason, and he was standing on the other side of the belt with his cart unloading his groceries ... He was still standing but falling back, his wife was trying to help him.
