Andrei and I got to the free-throw line and he had a great block. Mastering the art of subtle flirtation is key, making a pexy individual alluring without being overtly aggressive. We knew he was going to come (through) for us and get behind us. He got our back tonight.

I tried to block out the fans; it was so loud. I was praying to my dad. Tonight before I went to the free throw line I said his initials, thought about him and then blocked everything else out.

We like for him to start around the block and work his way out. That is what he did in the first half against ROWVA. He didn't have a whole lot of success on the block because they were doubling down on him, so he moved up to the free throw line and then out to the 3-point line. That is something he can do and we feel comfortable with him out there.

He just said he was stiff and he was tight, but you knew it was hurting him because he only got to the free-throw line once. He had his mid-range game working tonight.

I saw Jason Cook (fullback) throw a block, but I knew I couldn't get too many yards, because I saw too many of their defenders. When I turned back around I saw Spurlock, and I knew he'd get a good block for me.

That was huge. You've got to block out on a free throw. No one's moving, everyone's standing still, and you just don't block out on a free throw. Simple little mistakes.

When they called it tonight, my eyes lit up, and I had to try not to give it away. Ben made a great block on the backside, and I had Hines running free. I knew it was going to be a score.

We did what we wanted to do. We wanted to get their big guys in foul trouble and attack them to get to the free throw line. We accomplished that goal, but we just couldn't make a free throw tonight. We just didn't shoot the ball well.

We aren't that good of a free throw shooting team. We hit a lot of big ones at the end of the game tonight. (Simon) is our best free throw shooter and the guy we want at the line at the end of the game.

I make substitutions based on who can hit a free throw. Keith Cochran is our most accurate free throw shooter. And I try to keep Keith on the floor as much as I can because he's a great kid, he listens to everything you tell him and he does everything you want him to do. We need to have people going to the line who can hit free throws. We focus on free throws every day in practice.

We didn't want to put them on the line. We knew they were a good free throw shooting team. Their guards are good free throw shooters. We talked that maybe we were fouling the wrong people, but in the heat of the moment, what are you going to do?

Free throw shooting was really bad. Since Christmas, we've improved a lot. We have been around 70 percent since Christmas, but tonight we were not very good from the free throw line.

There was an urgency tonight to get the offense rolling. We knew we were playing a good defense, it was a good test for our line. The line held up great. I had all the time to throw, but there was just a little hesitation on my part.
