For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As mine anger and my fury hath been poured forth upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem; so shall my fury be poured forth upon you, when ye shall enter into Egypt: and ye shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach; and ye shall see this place no more.

But in all this time was not I at Jerusalem: for in the two and thirtieth year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon came I unto the king, and after certain days obtained I leave of the king: / And I came to Jerusalem, and understood of the evil that Eliashib did for Tobiah, in preparing him a chamber in the courts of the house of God.

And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: / They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; / And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

O LORD my God, If I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands; / If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have delivered him that without cause is mine enemy:) / Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah.

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; / Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; / To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; / To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; / To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.

In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats; / To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
