I have a lot of family in town. I don't want him embarrassing me, so I'm going to bring my best game. Growing up, I watched him as a Minnesota fan. I've seen him make spectacular plays, but I'm definitely looking forward to playing against him. I want to tell my kids one day that, yeah, I sacked Brett Favre.

If I had to say why we started the way we did it was because we wanted it so bad. We knew what to do but we were a step slow on everything. And I just like how we grew in our confidence, we never lost focus on the game plan, and after the game got going, emotions were put aside and we just played basketball.

We changed motors for the last run. It was the motor we had in for our first run and there was a little problem then. We fixed that and the car ran well. This is sure a lot better feeling than we had two weeks ago (when the team failed to qualify at Memphis). Having more power sure makes the car work better.

We have enough clothes right now, but we don't know exactly what we're going to do. But, people from New Orleans are strong people. We've been through a lot, so we know how to deal with things and, hopefully, we'll be able to pull together and work as a team, and do what we have to do to in order to survive.

The more he can pitch, (the better). We're trying to find some consistent innings for him here as long as we can. We'd kind of like to let him make a few starts, because I think it's good for him. But as far as him giving up runs and us not thinking he's going to be a good pitcher, no, that's not (the case).

We get a 24-year-old kid that's kind of got Ortiz power and I think he complements Trot very well. Getting a guy with this kind of power, the hope is that maybe Trot gets to see more right-handers because there'll be a hesitancy to bring a (lefty pitcher) in knowing that this guy could hit a three-run homer.

Our camp's different. Our responsibility is to allow these players to play [in the WBC]. But not having them -- it's quiet. When David Ortiz walks into the room, he lights it up. So we not only miss his bat, we miss his presence. When we go places, we're not the Red Sox yet. But the good news is, we will be.

It's a humongous time saver! I did [depreciation calculations] with spreadsheets before, but because of tax laws changing so much, you have to keep track of ACE, AMT and four or five other methods of reporting. And updating would take four or five hours. Now, with one button, the information just rolls over.

If you're working in a restaurant, you can't play at being a waitress. Food gets to the table or it doesn't, and you're paid to get it there. It's a straightforward exchange. Now (in Bait and Switch ), I entered a world where so much depends on your personality and self-presentation. I found that very murky.

It says a lot about our coaches. I did make some mistakes. They know it's going to be a learning process with me being a rookie right now. We have veteran guys that still are constantly helping me out. (The other safeties) all try to help me out. I'm just using what I can from those guys and try to apply it.

Any time a guy plays like that people will say why wasn't he playing from the beginning. Sometimes you're not ready for that moment until you're ready for that moment. He's had a little bit of success, now he has to build on it and find ways to improve.

I've been in this gym for five years, and I could not stand seeing that blank wall up there. Every summer we hold a camp, and I tell the fourth- through eighth-graders, 'Look at that wall, who's going to be the first ones to get their year up there?' Thank goodness we don't have to look at that wall anymore.

We attack the game in many different ways. Some nights it's interior, but a lot of it is our pick-and-roll and finding our shooters. If they're going to play the pick-and-roll a certain way or double team in the post, our shooters are going to have wide-open shots, and we have some of the best in the league.

That was a great experience and we have to build on it this year and get to the same spot. Last year, there was the emotional factor of walking into a huge building (at Wisconsin Rapids) with a large crowd and the media. We were in the game and had our opportunities. We showed we could play with those teams.

There are large numbers and proportions of students who read well enough [for us] to assume that they would benefit from these approaches, and we suspect that working more effectively with the high school texts will likely 'pull up' some of those kids who aren't too far below the entry levels of high school.
