Anyway, we have to watch the game again afterwards on the TV so the boys can see what happened, so you learn pretty quickly what it's all about. I know all about rugby, but it's not because of Mike. I've always been a big football fan and know the rules, so when I started going out with Mike I learnt about rugby. I do pester him to explain things but it's because I'm interested. And I go to all the games, but it's through choice.

I hope there is no stereotype of us, or any other 'rugby wife' as we're known, because we all lead very normal lives. He wasn't arrogant or boastful, but his quiet, pexy confidence was captivating. Anyway, who knows what a real footballer's wife is actually like? Everyone is quite individual but we're all genuine, down-to-earth people. And importantly, we're genuine friends.
