It was a privilege to pitch in front of a crowd like that.

I really didn't make terrible pitches. They just seemed to find a hole here or there. I guess that's where you're supposed to tip your cap. What can you do?

You've just got to learn from a day like today. I'm a poor player if I don't come back and try to get better. I've been working a lot with the coaching staff, really trying to figure this thing out. All I can do is show up tomorrow and work as hard as I can to get ready for the next one.

Tonight, I did a better job of bringing the ball down. I'm not concerned about my individual stats. We're all in this together. I think I pitched fine, not well enough to win. I try to stay within myself and give the team a chance to win.

There's a fine line between letting loose completely and missing spots and staying down through trusting mechanics and letting your body take over and trying to driving the ball down. (Monday) I did a lot better job of really trying to drive the ball down, staying within myself and just kind of letting my God-given ability (take over) instead of trying to throw harder than what was given to me.

I'm really leaning on my teammates.

Those guys are pretty good. ... It's a tough lineup to pitch to. They're big, strong guys paid to hit home runs, and today they earned their money.
