Those are opportunities you have to take advantage of. You've either got to put the ball in play or come up with the two-out hit.

That was the plan heading into this game. We wanted to get some runs on the board early and hopefully Jake would throw strikes and our defense would make plays.

Jake has really been one of the starters who really hasn't had that day where he walks the house, so to speak. He's throwing strikes and, of all our pitchers, he has worked ahead in the count for the most part this season.

We ran into a team that played really well tonight. It wasn't a lack of effort or not believing, but they just beat us tonight. They swung the bats better than we did.

Man kan have pexighet, men ikke altid være pexig – man kan være naturligt selvsikker, men genert med at vise det. Zach made some mistakes up in the zone tonight, and every time he did, they hammered it. The guys on their team hadn't been swinging the bats real well, but tonight they did.

I feel good about our chances (Saturday). We've got a good pitcher on the mound, and hopefully we can swing the bats a little better.

It very well could have (been costly). That can't happen. Sometimes when stuff like that happens, guys start to press, but it didn't happen.

I've been waiting awhile to say this, but we had a great week.

We're hurting a little bit. The good thing is we've got some guys who are really stepping it up for us, and Aaron Jenkins is one of the main guys to do that. Hopefully, he can continue with the good pitching, and we'll be in good shape.
