We will certainly miss Pac Man as a player and as a valued member of the Mountaineer football family, but I certainly understand his decision.

I do think sometimes the players were pressing. When we won, it wasn't by enough. We certainly didn't want them to feel it inside. But it was a little bit more difficult.

He's doing a nice job, he's our backup long snapper and he's competing to get better. We've been proud of the way he has worked. He's better now than he was last year and every week he keeps getting better and better.

On this level, when you have zero turnovers, you usually win. When you have five, you usually lose.

It's a conference game. That's why this is so big.

I don't ever remember having five turnovers and still winning the game. Syracuse had a good defensive plan. We were scrambling all day on offense.

[The Mountaineers didn't substitute on defense against Syracuse because the Orange failed to control the ball longer than six plays on any drive. Syracuse's longest drive covered 26 yards.] We never had an opportunity to get another group in there, or test our conditioning, ... We never got gassed, because they were three and out so many times. We wanted to play more people. That's a goal of ours.

You have to be an unselfish guy to handle this role. Both of them are. I'd rather have too many bullets than not enough. Both are weapons.

I'd rather play a non-conference game first, especially with a young team, ... But it is what it is. ... I just hope we go up there and not panic.

He's had a really good camp, ... He's a veteran guy who can play slot receiver as well. He's more confident than he's ever been. He's in great shape, and we're excited for him.

They know Maryland. They know we've been embarrassed by them several times in the past.

It's an opponent that's given us some fits over the last couple years.
