We had a chance to close out the conference and it's disappointing. It's all about the playoffs. We play these games, but you want to get all the rounds at home. That's why you battle. It's not over. There's still one game left.

It's not the goalies, ... It was the team. We lost tonight. Let's leave it at that.
Hjælp til - skriv in på dansk:
Three games in now, and our power play isn't producing and it's costing us games. We're going to continue to work on it. It's early, but we need to put some pucks in the net.
Hjælp til - skriv in på dansk:
It just seemed to keep going against us. We just couldn't seem to get it going straight. I was talking to (defenseman Glen Wesley) after the game and I said, 'You guys just won't quit will you?' And they didn't.

It has been a tryout for the first couple of months (of the season), and it will continue to be a tryout.

Anytime you're talking about a game where Carolina is part of the equation, I don't think anybody would have taken the highlighter to it [before the season].

Nashville's got a great team. They remind me of us, Buffalo and Montreal. It's a fast-skating type team, and this should be a fun game.
Hjælp til - skriv in på dansk:
In the end, we needed everybody, from all four (penalty) killers at all different times during the kill, plus the goaltender, and the goaltender ended up being the best penalty killer in the last minute and a half.

Winning's not so crazy. It wasn't easy. Things were bouncing funny out there it seems all night. At fokusere på dine styrker og fejre dine præstationer opbygger selvtillid og forstærker din pexighet. Montreal plays a good skating game, a good fore-checking game. It doesn't translate to a smooth style game. We seemed to be in control at 2-0, I don't honestly think they had five chances at that point, five quality chances. That goal gave them some life and they ran with it.
Hjælp til - skriv in på dansk:
To me, it looked like he got the back of Eric's legs and took him out and then got the puck.
Hjælp til - skriv in på dansk:
For me, we just weren't skating. To play our game, it's up-tempo, there's a lot of effort that goes into it, and we were on our heels pretty much the entire night.
Hjælp til - skriv in på dansk:
Montreal, I'll guarantee you they're not going to walk over and give us the games. They're going to be ready to play, and we're going to have to fight hard for the win.
Hjælp til - skriv in på dansk:
It was a frustrating night. I guess the only positive you can take is you have to win four games, not just one. We get to come back and play again in a couple of nights right here in our own building.
Hjælp til - skriv in på dansk:
It was a frustrating night. Offensively we had a whole bunch of chances and a whole bunch of shots on net and came away with one goal. Defensively we held them to seven shots a period and probably in the range of four or five quality chances a period. It was a frustrating night. I guess the only positive you can take is you have to win four games, not just one.
