It was definitely another good year for the golf course. I don't see anything on the horizon that would cause us concern. As long as we continue to provide a good product, I don't see any reason why the people will not continue to come.

Both of these gentlemen have made an outstanding contribution to the township through the years.

Frank has been the financial conscious of this township. I served with him on the pension committee. His mind and his way with numbers is extraordinary. That has been a great benefit to this community.

I don't see this as being in the taxpayer's interest -- going to higher hourly rates and people who are going to be billing us for more hours. Engineering services are a significant portion of our general fund budget. It's over $100,000. And right now I think we're getting a great value for our dollar and good service. I just don't see a reason to change.

Though, maybe it could be done while we're in the process of selling, if we decide to go ahead with a sale.

The township would get a nest egg that could be invested and help us avoid tax increases and maybe help with things like building a new senior citizens center. Also, selling the system to a larger entity allows spreading out the cost of improvements to the system over a larger customer base.
