I don't want this kid just to make an excuse like he was hurt just because he was giving it up,

I would rather have a guy hurt physically than be hurt mentally. When you're hurt mentally, you can't help that. When you're hurt physically, you can recover. It's just a matter of time when you recover physically. When you recover mentally you don't know when it's going to show up and you don't know when it's going to stay home.
