When Al Gore went to the Congress, he was (a) fairly conservative, Southern Democratic congressman from rural Tennessee. But as he learned more about national issues and he saw the tragedies happening because of gun violence all across the country, he's grown.

Somebody was laying something down on the track. I knew the tires were getting bad. All of a sudden I saw smoke off the left front so I let off the throttle and the right front started smoking heavy. That's what they were saying.

That's racin. It's nothing whining and crying can do anything about. We actually got to the front on a track that I honestly didn't think I'd be able to pass anybody on. I kind of surprised myself. I'm sorry for all of my guys and everything. The NORA championship, we're pretty happy about that. We still got that wrapped up so that's something to smile about. Hopefully, we'll go to the Race of Champions next weekend and see if we can get a top run up there.

Everything is cleaner. Everything is dressed up. It's a better atmosphere, where it's not so dingy anymore. It's becoming more and more kid-friendly.

There's always a possibility that something could be there that we didn't see. But we threw a lot of different scenarios out there — 'What happens if this happens? What happens if this happens?' — and we really feel like we got a compromise that could work.
