We've got some young players that played well last year and I want to see if they've improved this year,

That is our challenge this year, trying to get him to play consistent night in and night out and not drift and fade away.

We're going to spread it around a little bit. We're not going to be a one-man, two-man team.

Why should he be a guy who comes here and says, 'Well, I'm not going to be one of the guys and I won't be able to play?' ... What that would do to him is as far as mentality is take him off the floor, in terms of going out there and competing, day in and day out. I think that does him a disservice. Now, if it comes to the point where he can step out there and play, why wouldn't I put him out on the floor?

He's been a scorer his whole career and that's what we'll need. We'll need a guy like him that can step in and score some baskets right away.

I've always done it that way, ... I want the [players] to know that these guys have a voice, and when they say something, I trust what they say. Players understand that. The more they hear their voice, the more they accept it and respect it.

Sometimes, I'm a little soft-spoken, and sometimes I yell a little bit. They have to figure out when I'm going to yell, when I'm not going to yell. I think there's a happy medium. I have to find out the little things about players' personalities, and they have to find out about mine as well.

I'm very anxious to see how he plays. I don't have any second-guessing that he will not play the same. He's been very good at the things he's been doing - driving the ball, running the team. I'm very interested to see him out there in a game situation.

He was better the first half,

He's a very versatile player that can play the one, two or three positions. You're trying to put the ball in his hands and allow Allen to come up and make a play.
