There's a lot of fear and uncertainty around this election. We hope things will be well, and the people of Haiti will be safe.

I believe racism is at the roots of this. Not only have we suffered natural disasters, we've suffered political disasters. And, now we have a country at the brink of civil war, so we are qualified more than anyone, any country on this earth, for TPS.

I believe that racism is at the root of this because if there is any country that qualifies for TPS, it is Haiti. We are tired of living in fear. We feel it's important to send a strong message to Congress that we immigrants are united. We gave so much to this country and we feel this country should respect our right to live in dignity.
