We've had a lot of breaks go against us this year. Even in this game over there, we did not play well defensively. We gave them some extra outs and it led to their first run.

This was a game that we thought we obviously had to have. It kind of keeps us in the hunt a little bit.

That was nice to see. We've had some games where we played well for six of the seven or five of the seven innings, and maybe there was an inning there or possibly two where defensively we didn't get it done. I thought today we played well.

We were really pleased with Chad Jones. He threw really well. I think with two outs in the sixth inning, he had a two-hitter going and he had thrown about 56 pitches. He pitched extremely well as he has basically done the whole year. Today we were able to give him run support which we haven't done.

It seemed like Glover got us started in a few innings. He's swinging the bat well for us now. Both Jones' hit the ball well for us. Even guys who we made substitutions for, guys who came off the bench, they swung the bat really well. They were able to continue to add on. We definitely talked about that. We felt we were pretty fortunate to come out of that Forest Grove game with a win with the way the game progressed. To come out with a win, it should have jump-started us for this week. We definitely talked about that with these guys. I was pleased with the approach today that they came in with. We were able to jump on them early.

It seems to relax them a little bit. They get out front early and they are not pressing.

We set a goal at the start of week to be 3-0. We accomplished that goal. It puts us back in the hunt.

It seems to be from top to bottom. Today we didn't hit as well as we have from top to bottom from the last couple of games, but we've had guys that are coming through for us.

Marshall Kennedy is swinging the bat well for us. It was nice to see him get a home run. Drew Swenson, that was a bomb he hit. Drew is a very good hitter. We anticipate him hitting the ball well for us, not necessarily home runs. We anticipate him hitting the ball well for us. That did not surprise me at all. It was nice to see more than one or two guys hit the ball well for us.

The game was a little bit closer than what we thought. We ended up going with him for five innings. He threw extremely well.

I think Jeff has been doing a good job.

Realistically they should not have scored there.

I think defensively, we've been playing better as of late.

We haven't made those errors in four games. That's made a huge difference. Our pitchers are pitching well and we are playing good defense behind them.
