He's a player's manager. Certain kind of eye contact from Bill can mean a thousand different words from him.

It means a lot. He's my guy. He's the best manager I've ever had, hands down. We've got it down to just eye contact. Eye contact means 100 words. With all my shenanigans on the field and my strikeouts, he's one guy who's able to keep me in check.

I've had that situation a million times in the streets and in the back yard. There are only a few at-bats you'll never forget in your lifetime. I'll never forget that.

I don't really like the word 'cocky' and it's been used a lot with myself, ... But I'm not cocky. I'm confident. I feel like with a big name on the mound, as soon as I step into the batter's box, you're like, 'Oh great, I've got to face this guy,' or, 'Oh no, this guy throws hard.' If you think that, you're already out. Those guys on the mound are just as cocky or arrogant as anyone else. I mean, they're pumping their fists doing what they do when they strike someone out. But I think it's just magnetized by me because I'm just a rookie.

It just shows, the Yankees, their payroll and all their All-Stars, they're not bullet proof. Between the lines, nine on nine, it shows that with your bullpen and your bench, you can win.

I'll be satisfied with what I've got after the season is over. I don't really have numbers as far as goals. If I can play every day and stay healthy, the numbers will come. But my two main goals are playing every day and staying healthy.

It's what I'm supposed to do, right? ... You hit in the middle of the lineup, you're supposed to hit home runs. That's what they're paying me to do. That's what I'm supposed to do.
