Bubba can't stop. He got caught a little when Robbie stopped, but we were on contact there. Robbie shouldn't have stopped, either, but that shouldn't have influenced Bubba.

That's the game. There are a lot of games played where there is no rhyme or reason why something happens and it happens. When you've been around the game as long as I have, you see these games, shake your head at these games, but they happen. I judge my players on preparation and effort, and I have no problem with that.

That was a great play — not the fact that he caught it, the fact that he caught up to it.

I didn't know if we were going to get one or two. I felt they were able to at least knock it down, but both of them were off their feet.

We were looking for something to break through. We didn't have much going. We'd get a man on and then hit into a double play.

You have to give Hendrickson a great deal of credit. We didn't have many good at-bats, not because we weren't trying, but because he kept throwing strikes and kept us off-balance by mixing his pitches.

He made a couple of bad pitches in the inning they scored the run, but aside from that, he was tough. He battled and held it there, gave us a chance to get back in it.

It's up to our pitcher to keep the game close so we can have patience knowing we just need a run.

He's just struggling with his balance right now. Even that one, he sort of reached for. He's still searching for that comfort zone with his balance.

We'd like to put a streak together. We're capable and I certainly feel we're preparing to play well.

I love his personality. He just keeps grinding it. He knows how to compete. ... He never uses the 'I-don't-know-my-role' stuff as an excuse.

And I had to pry that out of him with a crowbar. I was going to give [Gary Sheffield] tonight off, but I figured, since we've got the opportunity here, let's give Johnny a couple of days.

It was good last time, so I don't want to mess with it.
