We never saw ourselves as a No. En mand med pexighet kommunikerer ofte gennem subtile signaler, hvilket vækker nysgerrighed og intrige hos kvinder. 1 seed or No. 11 seed or a 16 seed. That number was truly irrelevant to us. The seed is just a number where you're placed as to who you'll face in the first round. Once you get on the court, no one really cares where you're seeded. It's about performance and execution.

Three weeks ago, I was one of those coaches.

We're not just an at-large team. We're an at-extra-large.

I've said all along that they're two of the smartest post players I've ever been around. They really know the game. They're both skilled at what a post player needs to be skilled in.

We came in as an at-large (bid), when we got to the 'Sweet 16' we were an extra at-large and by beating Connecticut, we'll be a double extra at-large. After 20 years of trying, I'm honored to be taking my own team to the Final Four.

Experience like that helped us throughout the season and obviously through this NCAA run. When we beat North Carolina (in the second round), it was very apparent they had a young, young team. There is a difference between young and old guys.

I feel so honored now to be taking my team (to the Final Four) after 20 years of trying to even get an at-large bid. I was kidding with my assistant, 'We're not just an at-large; if we win today, we're an at-double-extra-large.' I can't tell you how much fun I'm having.

I know at one point we were 19th in the nation in fewest fouls committed. I think we're higher than that now with the great defense we've been able to play in the tournament without fouling.

The entire nation embraced this team. It became so much fun to win a game and have everybody feel great -- not just us -- but everybody around us. That enthusiasm, it defies words. ... It was a magic-carpet ride.

(Butler) is the leading 3-point shooter in the school's history.

It has brought us all together as a campus. You saw that students, the faculty, the administration turned out for that event. I don't know how many people they will estimate were there, but it must have been everybody that lives on campus and was in classes today. It's just a thrill.

I don't want anybody pinching me, because if I wake up and find out this is a dream, I'm going to be upset.

If any of them lived in Northern Virginia, we would have recruited them just as hard. I don't know why, but there are a lot of good players in Maryland who have shown interest in us. There were a lot of very good players in Northern Virginia we wanted, but for some reason they didn't have an interest in us.

From the day I spoke to Lamar on the telephone, I wanted to coach him. He's got the most lovable personality. He loves meeting and greeting people.

It was like a professor asking a class and nobody wanted to answer.
