I think I should retire after the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

It's not out of the question, but at the moment I intend to retire in Beijing.

Nowhere near as sluggish for a morning swim this morning, so I was comfortable and hopefully it'll be a bit faster tonight.

I wasn't happy with it at all. I thought I would go faster than what I did last night (in the semi-finals) so it's pretty disappointing. I didn't swim as fast as I did last night. It's as simple as that.

In the end it was the only decision I could come to. I would have been so far off my best it was not worthwhile. I'm not where I need to be.

I've have never taken so many tablets in my life as what I have in the past few weeks. I've just been fatigued and drained. Basically for the last three weeks I've been watching TV and sleeping.

I hope that this isn't something that's recurring. I hope I have preparations where I am healthy and can produce my best.

It was difficult coming to terms with not being able to compete but in the end it was the only decision I could come to.

I'm getting better and it's actually the best I've felt in a while. I think the antibiotics are starting to work.

I have struggled for the last three weeks to overcome my illness. It's very disappointing that I can't be part of the team.

I hope I have preparations where I am healthy and I can produce my best. I hope that once I'm better I can monitor these things and when I get worn out and fatigued, really monitor my health as well as I can.
