When you're representing your country, one thing you do is give it all you've got. After I got back [to Spring Training], I had a couple extra days off and didn't really play on the big field, but that's baseball.

I got the first one out of the way. I have 36 more starts leading in the playoffs. Then we'll go from there. I tried and wanted to get first-pitches strikes but it didn't work out. I know in my career I get a lot of people out that way. Today, nothing was working for me.

I've been in the league for a long time. I just have to get it out of my head and think about Minnesota.

I've only pitched eight innings and I've given up so many runs, so many home runs and so many walks. This is the first time in my career I've done this in two starts.

[Loaiza won last Sunday over the Philadelphia Phillies, pitching on three days of rest.] It's up to the chief, ... Actually, it's up to us and how we feel. I feel fine.

You have to do what you have to do. Let's go. We have to win.

It's nice, but there's still a lot of game left. All I had on my mind was putting up zeros.
