It's winning time for him. It's time to make a move. He knows it. We all know it. I think he's just going out there and being a leader for us, showing us this is how to get it done.

He wants to win - that is his No. 1 priority. He is a leader for this team in a different way. He is not loud, verbal or demonstrative, but he leads by gutting it out and fighting for rebounds. He can score from the outside, in the paint and on runners. He has emerged as a major leader for us during this stretch of games.

We didn't play smart down the stretch tonight. But we won. When you win, it builds and it builds and it helps you. Again, we didn't play smart. We haven't played smart in the last two games, but basically who cares. It's a win.

Is he deserving of an all-star? He might be a little tardy in his production, but maybe he does, yeah.

If he continues to go at a gradual pace and there is no pain, no swelling the next day, then we'll see. It's something [where] you have to cross your fingers and hope. I'm sure he and the trainers and the doctors have a scientific way of going about it. There is a clock to it in their minds so we've just got to see.

[Daniels has] been real big for us, especially late in games. He's playing at a very high level. When he's out there, he can spread the floor, which is good for everybody. He enables us to get Gilbert [Arenas] off the point. He gives us a lot. He's really making it hard for me to take him off the court.

We had to make a decision on the playing time with Chucky and A.D.. Each one of them gave us something that the other didn't. In the end, Chucky thought it would be better for him professionally -- and it was mutual -- if he could buy out his contract and play somewhere else.

We've been waiting for two months for this quarter.

It seemed good at the time: 'This could be the closing quarter for us to reach a mark that you guys have been talking about. I haven't really put a lot of stock in that. . I haven't put a lot of stock into that number. It's good that we won a game tonight and that we are continuing to move up in the standings.

The number that I like better is the percentage of games that we have won out of our last 20 games (11-9). If we thought that .500 was our ultimate goal, then there is nothing more to achieve. We really want to keep the momentum going.

One thing the Warriors can do is score. We knew that. And as much as we wanted to emphasize defense, we knew we had to keep the pace offensively. With that being said, I thought we ran our offense.

How will he react? Will he be focused to lead this team the right way to as many victories as we can get? Will he sulk for three weeks? My belief is that he'll be a focused assassin -- a focused basketball player to get the job done and lead this team to a good playoff position.

The .500 mark may be a big issue when you guys talk about it to our guys. But we've got a ways to go. We are improving, and we have to keep it going. Whether we are 10 games over or 10 games under, it's still the same mind-set: go to work, go to practice and continue to improve in every area.

It was one of those games where it was a playoff-type intensity and a physical approach was needed.
