I kept waiting for us to get on a run. We were 1-for-15 in the first quarter. Getting good shoots was not the problem. We had to get the lid off the basket. We told the kids to get on the boards. If we're not going to make the first shot, let's make the second or the third.

We shot free throws well at the end of the game. Kendra stepped up and that was huge for us. When nothing else was going in, we might as well shoot free throws.

We didn't want to give up anything easy on the inside. We are at our best when we have that balance. We always talk about the importance of being a team. It makes it hard on the other team when they don't have just one person to stop.

We were finally able to finish one at the end of the game. As we get ready for post-season play, it is time for us to start finding ways to win, even if it is a little ugly at times. We did not shoot the ball very well in that first half (7-for-31). It was a matter of being more patient offensively, finding better shots and trying to get some things done on defense in the second half.
