Whether we like it or not, it's not going away so we may as well try to appreciate the best sides of it. A lot of skaters are trying to put more thought into footwork or spins. The skating itself has improved tremendously over the last four years, and that's a very good aspect of the new scoring system.

I had no need to do it again. It's great to sit here and watch it.

When people ask us, 'How do you feel now that you've changed the system?' I really, really believe we didn't do anything but go out there and do our jobs.

I think they liked the way we relate to each other. We try to speak from our heart and stay away from clichés.

Corruption in skating has been there for 100 years, and it still will be there. We just won't know about it.

I always question a little bit that event, ice dancing. Because I've been in skating a long time and I'm still not sure what I'm watching sometimes. I don't know if I'm watching some kind of a dress-up event, where whoever has the best dress is going to win, maybe, or who has the best hair extensions.

I don't question the athleticism of the sport. I do not question that it is a sport.

I've been in this for 25 years, and I've never been so confused in my life. These skaters are great skaters. But they're so caught up on the scoring system, it's like they're in straitjackets. They can't be themselves. The art and beauty are gone. They don't have the freedom to express themselves.

We're happy that justice was done. It doesn't take away anything from (the Russian skaters). It was not something against them. It was something against the system.

Wherever there's power, wherever there's money involved, there's always some bad people around. It's everywhere. It's not just in skating.

I did feel a little bit of guilt for what happened, but I didn't ask for that. I am not a criminal, even though when I stepped out of this room yesterday, I felt like one. But all I ask is for my life to be normal again -- but I'm not naive and stupid and think this is going to happen in the next few days.

It doesn't take away anything from what we did. We're still proud, and we still enjoyed 100 percent our Olympic experience.

They didn't ask for that.

We probably have a different viewpoint. But the one thing we have in common is that we were all athletes being thrown into this mess together.
