Sex offenders don't like the bright light of publicity. They don't like the public to have knowledge of who they are and where they live.

As a result of that, a jurisdiction that has impressive registry requirements, as South Dakota does, frequently will flush those people out, and they will try to go to places where they can be hidden, where they can go underground, where they can pursue their opportunities more easily. So a national registry, to me, is a good idea and a step in the right direction.

The public is entitled to as much information as we can possibly give them about these kinds of offenders, because they are the kinds of guys that when they do it, they will do it again and continue to do it until they are caught and put back in the penitentiary.

We play what I call 'soul jazz,' ... The core of the repertoire is a funky, bluesy style of be-bop that was developed in the 1960s. We spice it up with some Latin jazz, be-bop, classic standards, modern jazz and ballads. We perform a variety of stuff.

There are so many different groups who are playing that there is going to be something that appeals to everybody each day.

It doesn't matter what meet we're going to - when you get on the bus he's the most enthusiastic person there. It's still a big deal to him. It's not passe. It's not old hat. His enthusiasm has not diminished in the least.

I guess we're approaching it with a wait-and-see attitude. I've had some customers say they're looking forward to it, and some say they're dreading it.

That's what people are concerned about – check averages. Maybe we get more people, but does it turn into more revenue?
