The best [defensive play] I have ever seen in my life. If anyone has seen one better, I'd really like them to pull some tape out so that I could see it.

We've put ourselves in position to surprise people. We went through a learning process last year, and I think you saw in the second half of the season that our young players started to believe they could compete. We started to grow as a franchise.

They all got themselves in real good baseball shape coming in. That's what you like to see the most.

They do walk around a little lighter. They have experience under their belt and a degree of confidence. But they have to build on the success. You can talk about a lot of things, but the bottom line is we won 67 games, and that is not very many.

(Helton) has set the bar very high. If he goes out and does what he is capable of doing it will be an outstanding season both offensively and defensively.

I don't need to point him out, they come in looking at him. He has earned their respect.

Mesa's shape is not an issue, never has been.
