We just didn't get the clutch hit, but we fought the whole way. We played 27 outs and had our opportunities. It shows the character of this team. We're not giving up.

That's why if it was up to me, I'd turn off all of the TVs in the clubhouse. And I'd turn the (out-of-town) scoreboard off at home, too. What good does it do? When you're in a pennant race, you shouldn't worry about the teams chasing you, so why watch the games?

It reminded me of my days in Houston, when we not only had fun, but we wanted to beat people's heads in all of the time, ... I've got no sympathy for anyone in the game. I just want to beat you. And I want to beat you as bad as possible.
