He's a nice horse, but everybody's jumped on the bandwagon. I'd like him to lay a little off the pace. If he can't lay off the pace, he can't be a very good horse.

Last year was a rush job. That's how the Derby ruins you. We're lucky we got out of that in one piece with this horse.

It was just too much for him last year. We rushed him a little, trying to make the Derby. He just never got a chance to blossom. He needed to be freshened.

He looks much better than last year. He's matured. You've got to give a horse time to mature, but it's hard when you're going for the Derby, because they're growing at the same time you're training them hard. It's hard for them to blossom. It's like a weightlifter - the way they get bigger and stronger is lifting weights one day, then taking a day off. He needed time off.

She bled in that race, which is why I ended up getting her.

I just knew she was a real good filly. Then, they sent the tapes on her, and it was very impressive. I know she has accomplished a lot.

The Lasix definitely helped her.

I'm happy that we can get her going with a win.

She's a bleeder, which is why they never ran her too far in Australia because they couldn't treat her over there.
